6th- 12th Grade Students

Our goal is to offer opportunities for our middle and high school students to build community and grow in their faith. Our volunteer leaders do a great job of coming alongside parents and families to help guide students in their walk with God. Here are a few of those opportunities.

Sunday Night Youth Group

6th-12th Grade

When: Sunday Evenings from 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Where: YMCA

Who: Contact

Come out to support our youth! Our 6th-12 graders and 4-5 graders are working together to raise funds to help them get to the Carolina Christian Youth Conference and Va Preteen Convention. Students will be selling tickets ($5 per person or $20 for a family of 4 or more) beginning this Sunday. We're also looking for donations of Spaghetti Sauce, Noodles, Salad items, and desserts! If you know a Venture Church Youth... hit them up for a ticket! If you're just awesome and want to support them anyway, let us know and we'll get you connected.

We'll have the meal in the "Youth Studio" at the Nir Family YMCA (the big room next to the kitchen) on January 26th from 5-6:30 pm.

Carolina Christian Youth Conference

Benton Convention Center. Winston-Salem NC
6th-12th Grade

CCYC exists to connect students across the Carolinas to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We host an engaging weekend conference each winter with the purpose of equipping and encouraging Middle and High School students.

What Will Students Do?

Students will leave Wilmington around noon on February 14th (early release from school will be necessary) and drive to Winston Salem. They will stay with our chaperones in the onsite hotel. Over 1,500 students will be gathering for worship and teaching sessions in the convention center Friday night, Saturday Night, and Sunday Morning. Saturday morning will be a time of elective workshops to help our students learn and grow in their faith.

Students will be overseen by excellent, background checked, volunteers from our church as well as by the huge CCYC staff that patrol and oversee the facilities throughout the weekend. CCYC is a statewide event that has been doing this for over 35 years! They're in great hands.
